Today’s Topic – Triumph
When I think of Triumph, I can think of a lot of moments which would suit the topic perfectly. Like the time I got into the institute of my choice… Or the first time my nephew called out my name… My first international travel… and so many other things. Sadly, today I realized I do not have photos to showcase most of such moments. These moments of triumph usually just happen.
But there is one moment of triumph which I really want to share today. This is the perfect forum for sharing this triumph mainly because I express my love for food here. So,
Yes, it’s the day I learnt how to bake! This photo is obviously not clicked by me (I am in it! 🙂 ) But this one is:
The precious cupcakes I baked. It was love at first sight… And there has been no looking back since then. If interested, you can find my post on this cupcake workshop here, and it’s after effects here!!
What do you guys think?
Of all the days to mess up, I choose the last two. Got super caught up yesterday, so will be posting my entry for yesterday and today, today itself. To think of it, I am rather consistent. I posted the first two day’s posts together too! 🙂
Day 19’s topic – Double.
These are not technically a double, but these are two parts of the gate which used to guard Hampi region back in the time. They are known to be extremely heave and strong. It’s weary and old now, But you can still imagine it’s strength.
I till date wonder how they managed to get it down and place it on the ground. It’s a great piece of work, and works rather well for the topic
Today’s Topic – Edge.
The name itself is not enough to explain today’s topic. The idea behind the topic today is to show an edge – A straight line, a narrow ridge or something like that.
I have the perfect photo from my Hampi trip for this topic. On a land which is full of ruins, there sat this not so small piece of history, strangely untouched as compared to everything around it. At a regular site, this visual would be just another piece of infrastructure. But here, in Hampi, It felt like magic:
This used to be some sort of water reservoir back in the time. It’s beautiful isn’t it? How every line, Every step… is still intact. I have no idea how this survived. But I am glad it did.
Today’s Topic – Glass
Tricky! Tricky! Tricky!
I have ZERO photographs on this topic. The only one I could think of was the confession room photo, which I already used for the mystery topic. So, believe it or not, I went around the office looking for some window to click a photo from. Sadly, all the windows in my office are just too clean! No one would see the point of a through-glass photo.
So, I had to improvise. I again scanned through my archives (read, and re-read the topic details, to find some loop hole 🙂 ). I can officially say – I’ve spent more time contemplating on this topic, than working today! And found one photo!!
This photo is not half bad. This was clicked on a dinner in a rather fancy restaurant during my recent Chennai visit. I wanted to click the beautiful little lamp on our table, and get the contrast with the rather dark surroundings. I was not very happy with the end result, simply because the glass covering the lamp kept making the light crack and expose on the photo. But, I think that’s the beauty of the glass being there.
Now that I think of it, It’s a rather lovely photo. Weirdly silent, yet loud in it’s own way. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Today’s topic – Treasure.
Being a food lover and a food blogger, there is no surprise in what my treasure photo is going to be about!
Exploring food in all its glory has been a great journey for me. I associate food with today’s topic not just because it’s pretty and tasty, but because exploring a new dish or a cuisine is literally like opening a treasure box! The new flavors, the new smells… the wonderful presentations… So many surprises can be packed in one small unexpected dish.
So, here is my treasure… Ordinary from the outside:
But wait… its not over yet….
The treasure inside:
Was I right? or was I right? 🙂
What do you guys think?
